Tea-dyeing is an ancient and sustainable process of dyeing that transforms textiles, offering a unique aesthetic that transcends trends. Beyond a mere crafting process, tea dyeing offers a unique blend of environmental consciousness, versatility, and timeless charm. By replacing chemical dyes with natural tea, this practice not only contributes to a greener planet but also allows for a diverse range of fabrics to undergo a rustic transformation. We executed a range of tea-dyed outfits at our studio in Ahmedabad which turned out to be exceptionally elegant and graceful. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

 Tea Dyeing Process<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The process of tea dyeing is easy and can be executed at home with limited materials.

Materials required for tea dyeing:

1. A big container
2. A big spoon \/ a rod \/ glove
3. Tea bags
4. Vinegar (mordant)
5. A stove

One will require an open space to perform the dyeing process and for drying the garments under natural light.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Start by preparing tea bags with a light fabric and transfer powdered tea into it. You can also use store bought dipping tea bags.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
